Penn Forest supervisors conducted the following business this week:
• Announced the park will start having a coffee truck Monday to Saturday from 5 or 6 a.m. through 2 p.m.
• Requests were made for upcoming events at the park. The request for up to $5,000 was approved for the July 5 event.
The funds will cover a balloon maker, musicians, bounce house, blow up obstacle course, games and possibly face painting. Up to an additional $200 was approved for the Touch A Truck event to be held Saturday.
• Family Promise of Carbon County requested to waive the amusement tax for its fundraising event “Rocking for the Cause.” The request was denied; instead, the township will donate the money back to the organization. The event will be held on Aug. 17 at Penn’s Peak.
• Approval was given to purchase a Canon printer.
