Students at Carbon Career & Technical Institute received an inspiring visit recently from a representative of the Pittsburgh Institute of Aeronautics.

The presentation, held during an afternoon session, gave students an inside look at careers in aviation maintenance and aerospace technology.

Brandon Weiss shared details about PIA’s programs, which train students to become aviation technicians and aircraft mechanics.

He also highlighted the hands-on learning environment, career opportunities and the growing demand for skilled workers in the aviation and aerospace industries.

Students had the opportunity to ask questions about the education path, what a typical day looks like for a technician, and how PIA graduates transition into the workforce.

The presenter also asked students trivia style questions about different aviation topics to keep them engaged and interested.
