Palmerton Borough Council took the following action recently:

• Agreed to request $2,000 from the Greater Lehigh Valley Chamber of Commerce Foundation Main Street Grant Program for the band stand flooring. Borough Manager Autumn Canfield said the borough is researching options for a more durable floor to ensure the bandstand remains in good repair.

• Awarded a bid for the sale of police car No. 51 through Municibid in the amount of $2,000.
