The Weatherly Area School District will have two gymnasium floors recoated over the summer.

At the recent school board meeting, members voted to approve having All American Athletics perform the work.

The cost for the high school gymnasium floor, 11,000 square feet, will be $6,000, according to the accepted quote. The cost for the old high school gymnasium floor, 5,600 square feet, will be $2,700.

Other board actions:

• Approved the list of Weatherly Area High School graduates. The Class of 2025 has 47 students.

• Approved the senior class trip to Washington, D.C., which was scheduled for May 18-20.

• Hired Tiffany Bachert as a full-time Title I teacher at a salary of $66,976 plus benefits per the WAEA contract, effective the 2025-26 school year.

• Hired Alexis Colecio as a full-time elementary teacher at a salary of $50,251 plus benefits per the WAEA contract, effective the 2025-26 school year.

• Hired Deborah James as a paraprofessional substitute for the 2024-25 school year.

• Accepted the resignation of Dana Snyder, K-8 school counselor, last day being June 13. The district will immediately advertise the position.

• Approved a one-year CSIU KAMI Software Agreement at a cost of $1,043 (350 users at $2.98 per user).
