Three Carbon County row office holders are unopposed in the Primary Election of 2025 that will be held on Tuesday, May 20.
All Republicans, the unchallenged candidates are incumbents Kevin Zelienka of Palmerton, treasurer; Tyra L. Boni of Franklin Township, clerk of courts; and Jean A. Papay of Lower Towamensing Township, register of wills and clerk of the orphans’ court.
The office holders also do not have Democratic challengers they would otherwise face in the General Election.
Also on the Primary ballots are two races for Pennsylvania courts, and the Republicans have contests in each of them.
In the race for the GOP nomination for a seat on the Superior Court. The candidates are Maria Battista of Clarion County and Ann Marie Wheatcraft of Chester County.
The winner of that race will face unopposed Democrat Brandon Neuman of Washington County in November.
There is also a seat on the Commonwealth Court to be filled this year. Seeking the GOP nomination are Matt Wolford of Erie County and Josh Prince of Berks County.
The winner of that race will face Democrat Stella Tsai of Philadelphia County, who is unopposed within her party.
