The Slatington History Preservation Committee was formed in 2013 to preserve history in Slatington through a variety of measures, including writing and reprinting two books on Slatington history.

A nonprofit organization, the committee will have its next Northern Lehigh 250 meeting on May 21 to continue planning a communitywide celebration to honor and celebrate America’s 250th anniversary in July 2026.

The meeting will be held at the Vigilant Fire Company, 110 S. Walnut St., Slatington at 7 p.m. For more information, call or text 610-554-4099.
