The Weatherly Area High School Future Business Leaders of America hosted a card signing event for veterans during a lunch period May 8.

The signing event was part of the Cards for Soldiers project, which the Weatherly American Legion Auxiliary Unit 360 has undertaken.

Students signed 125 cards, which will be sent to the Wilkes-Barre VA Medical Center, said Judy Desrosiers, who coordinates the Cards for Soldiers project for the auxiliary.

FBLA students hosted the event under the direction of their adviser Janet Gettig.
