Washington Township Supervisors conducted the following business last week:

• Approved the budgeted $30,000 to Citizen’s Fire Company (Slatedale) for the 2025 Donation.

• Released the budgeted $600 stipend for Emergency Management Coordinator Joe Mead for 2025.

• Aiden Oswalt was hired for summer help.

• Released the budgeted contributions of $3,000 to the Wildlife Information Center; $2,000 to the Slatington Historical Preservation Society and $200 to Meals on Wheels.

• A well isolation distance waiver for 3240 Friedens Road was approved for a failing septic system.

• Manager Wade Marlatt is meeting with the Conservation District for two Stormwater projects to find out if they meet requirements for possible grant funding, Walnut Street and Ashfield Drive.

• Approved 66 acres for agricultural security area for Bonnie L. Yenser Colver located at 2481 and 2646 High Hill Road, Slatington.
