Thomas Jeremy Kattner, who has served as Nesquehoning’s mayor since 2021, will seek reelection in the upcoming municipal election.
While not on the ballot, Kattner plans to run a write-in campaign for the position.
“For almost the past four years, it has been an honor to be the mayor of the Borough of Nesquehoning,” Kattner said. “In that time frame it has been a privilege to be able to work with all council members and borough employees to be able to have success and make valuable improvements in Nesquehoning.”
He is the son of the late Paul and Corinne Kattner. He was born and raised in Nesquehoning and resides in town with his wife, Tracy.
He is a 2003 graduate of Panther Valley High School and currently is the co-owner of the multi-generational family business, Kattner Coal and Oil in Nesquehoning, which has served the Panther Valley area for approximately 100 years.
In addition to being a business owner, Kattner is also active in the Nesquehoning VFW.
