Tamaqua Seniors

The Tamaqua Senior Citizens met on April 24 with 26 members present.

The invocation, “Keep On Praying,” was read.

The trip to Knoebel’s Amusement Resort on June 4 was canceled.

The meeting was closed and bingo and cards were played.

The group meets at 1 p.m. Thursdays at the Coaldale Complex. Anyone 55 and older is invited to attend.

St. Peter’s

The 9 a.m. Sunday service at St. Peter’s Church in West Penn will have the Sacrament of Holy Communion. Sunday school is at 10:15 a.m. and Girl Scouts meet at 6 p.m.

From 4 to 6 p.m. Wednesday, there will be pickups for the preschool dinner fundraiser and a basket raffle.

On May 8, the Cherub Choir and Handbell Choir rehearse at 6 p.m. The Senior Choir rehearses at 7 p.m.

Calvary Lewistown

Pastor Kim Leskowich will deliver a message at the 10:30 a.m. Sunday service at Calvary Evangelical Church in Lewistown. Special music will be provided. Sunday school is at 9:15 a.m. The Sunday evening service is at 7 p.m.

The Wednesday prayer and share is at 7 p.m. All are invited.

Zion Lewistown

Pastor Jim Williams will officiate the 10:30 a.m. Sunday service at Zion Church in Lewistown Valley. Communion will be included with the service. Sunday school is at 9:30 a.m.
