The Panther Valley Senior Center will be closed from May 5 through May 16 for Senior Games competition.

The annual Carbon County Senior Games start May 6. New members are welcome.

Historical Society

The Nesquehoning Historical Society is hosting a full-day railroad excursion to Pottsville at 9 a.m. on June 26.

The Reading and Northern train leaves the Nesquehoning station and travels to Pottsville where passengers can then enjoy a variety of activities, including a tour the Yuengling Brewery, the Yuengling Mansion, Jerry’s Car Museum and more.
