State police at Lehighton - crashes

State police at the Lehighton barracks reported the following crashes:

• Kristi J. Davison, 37, of Lehighton, was uninjured in a one-vehicle crash at 8:30 p.m. March 8 on Ashtown Drive, Mahoning Township.

Police said she was driving a 2008 Honda Accord westbound when she attempted to avoid striking a deer that entered the roadway. Police said she lost control of the car and hit a utility pole head-on. The car was towed from the scene.

Police said Davison refused medical attention at the scene.

• Tianza Jiang, 22, of Princeton, New Jersey, was cited after a one-vehicle crash at 7:23 p.m. March 12 on Summer Mountain Road, Lower Towamensing Township. He was uninjured in the crash.

Police said he was driving a 2021 BMW northbound when the car slid off the road while negotiating a left curve. It had heavy front-end damage and was towed from the scene.

• Stephen A. Baiardi, 25, of Easton, was uninjured in a one-vehicle crash at 6:36 a.m. March 20 on Route 115 in Ross Township.

Police said he was driving a 2008 Honda Pilot westbound when it struck a deer that had entered its path.

The vehicle had heavy front-end damage and was towed from the scene.

• Two vehicles were able to be driven from the scene of a crash at 3:23 p.m. March 20 on Hamilton Road, Ross Township.

Police said a 2016 Jeep Compass drove around the right side of a 2017 Subaru Outback, striking it.

They did not provide the names of the drivers.

• Police said a 1997 Chevrolet box truck was towed from the scene of a crash at 12:36 p.m. March 23 on Spruce Hollow Road, Towamensing Township.

They did not provide the name of the driver of the vehicle that experienced a mechanical failure of its steering column before the crash.

Police said the truck was southbound and the driver was unsuccessful in bring the vehicle to a stop. It rolled onto its passenger side and had minor functional damages, police said.
