Franklin Township supervisors took the following action last week:

• Eliminated the part-time secretary position, effective April 15.

• Granted conditional approval to the 4375 Long Run LLC subdivision.

• Approved the bed liner for the 2003 Mack dump truck in the amount of $3,590.

• Accepted the resignation of Barbara Beltz from the board of auditors.

• Appointed township secretary/treasurer Mary Fairchild as open records officer and assistant secretary/treasurer Francesca Pope as alternate open records officer for the township’s administration office.

• Announced that the stocked pond at the Phifer’s Ice Dam Park will be closed to anyone older than 15 beginning May 2 at noon and remain closed until June 1 at noon.

• Approved the request from the National Wild Turkey Federation for a Youth Fishing Tournament on May 4 at the Phifer’s Ice Dam.

• Agreed to provide fire police services for Lehighton Area High School’s graduation on June 3.
