The Friends of Tuscarora and Locust Lake State Parks will hold its annual Bark in the Park, from noon to 4 p.m. Oct. 6 at Locust Lake State Park in Barnesville.
The fundraiser is sponsored by Fairway Subaru of Hazleton.
The event is free, family-friendly and open to leashed, well-behaved dogs.
There will be food, activities and demonstrations, vendors, rescues and silent auction items to purchase — all with proceeds going to the Friends of Tuscarora and Locust Lake State Parks.
Kelby, a water rescue dog from that NEPA Newfie, will be on hand for a Meet and Greet.
A dog demonstration by Mannered Mutts gets underway at 1 p.m., and the Keystone Herpetology Institute and Venom Institute will present a program about Snakebites and Pet Safety at 2:30 p.m.
Pawsitively Purrfect Rescue and Furever Home Rescue will be on hand, and food trucks will sell burgers, French fries, pierogies and milkshakes.
Vendors include Baileybones Canine Bakery, Furever Love, Lovable Leads, Mannered Mutts Dog Training, Venom Institute Conservation & Education and Pawz Away Pet Care.
For a fee, local artist Andrea Perno will do PAWCASSO Paintings with your pets’ paws; Lisa Cambra will photograph your pet, and crystal reiki will be offered.
