A Northampton County man was killed Friday afternoon in Polk Township when the vehicle he was driving was hit by a dump truck.
State police at Lehighton said Christopher N. Rossi, 69, of Easton, was driving a Mack dump truck west on Upper Middle Creek Road at 3:49 p.m.
Police said he didn’t stop at the sign at the intersection with Route 534.
James S. Bruch, 65, of Bath, was traveling east on Route 534 and was hit by the truck Rossi was driving. He died at the scene.
Police said the investigation is continuing.
Responding at the scene in addition to the state police were Lehigh Valley Health Network EMS, Polk Fire Department, the Monroe County Coroner’s Office and All Points Towing.
