State police at Fern Ridge
State police at the Fern Ridge barracks reported the following incidents:
• A 15-year-old boy from Brodheadsville reported a theft to police at 7:15 p.m. Aug. 23.
The theft occurred off the 200 block of Route 715 in Chestnuthill Township.
Police said the teen told them his Gen 3 Apple AirPods, valued at $150, were stolen while he was playing basketball at the Chestnuthill Township Park.
• Two people were cited for harassment after police responded to an altercation at 3:09 p.m. Aug. 24 on Towamensing Trail, Penn Forest Township.
Police said Michael Hahn, 43, of Albrightsville, was cited after a verbal altercation escalated and he struck a 29-year-old woman from Albrightsville in the face and knocked a cellphone from her hand.
They said Hassan Payne, 31, of Albrightsville, was cited after be broke eyeglasses of a 32-year-old man from Mount Pocono who was trying to separate the two people involved in the altercation.
• The theft of two Heil brand heat pumps in Chestnuthill Township is under investigation.
Police said someone took the units from behind the Dreher Avenue Holdings LLC building at 526 Marion Lane between July 30 and 2 p.m. Aug. 20.
• Police were summoned to investigate a theft that occurred at 316 Cold Spring Drive, Penn Forest Township.
Angela Rambus, 45, told police a package containing an Apple iPhone 15 that was delivered to her residence by FedEx at 2:29 p.m. July 8 was stolen within minutes of the delivery.
She told police the package was taken from her porch by an unknown Hispanic man wearing a black baseball cap. She said the theft was recorded by a Ring camera at her home.
Police said before the theft the woman saw an unknown white Toyota RAV4 with a Puerto Rico flag on its mirror traveling through the neighborhood.
