NL School Board

Northern Lehigh School Board approved the following matters last week:

• Supplemental Personnel Salary Schedule for the 2024-2025 school year.

• Agreement with Fox Safety Preparedness Specialists LLC, to provide consulting and professional development services to the district for the 2024-2025 school year at a cost not to exceed $10,500, to be funded through the Pennsylvania Commission on Crime and Delinquency Competitive Grant.

• The sponsor to sponsor agreement for meal services for the SHINE after school program, Lehigh Carbon Community College and Northern Lehigh School District at no cost to the district from Oct. 1, 2024 through Sept. 30, 2025.

• The 21st CCLC Data Sharing Agreement, which authorizes the release of student personal identifiable information and education information by Northern Lehigh to LCCC SHINE and clarifies use of data.

• School lunch prices as follows: Elementary — breakfast, $1.60, lunch, $2.80; Secondary — breakfast, $1.90, lunch, $3.10; Adult — breakfast, $2.40, lunch, from $4.25 to $4.75.

• Request of the senior high school to close the Class of 2024 account in accordance with the Student Activities Fund guidelines. The account balance is $46, and the funds will be transferred to the student council account.

• Request of the middle school to close the eighth grade team account in accordance with the Student Activities Fund guidelines. The account balance is $341, and the funds will be transferred to the middle school student council account.

• Superintendent Dr. Matthew J. Link to attend the LCTI PAC Strategic Thinking Summit, Sept. 18-20, in York, with the cost of travel, $134, and meals, $120, for a total cost of about $254, to be funded by the superintendent’s budget.

• Superintendent Dr. Matthew J. Link to attend the CLIU Superintendent Retreat, Oct. 30-Nov. 1, Hershey, with the cost of travel, $103, and meals, $120, for a total cost of about $223, to be funded from the superintendent’s budget.

• Final club/activity application for the Northern Lehigh High Crochet Club. The Northern Lehigh Education Association recommended stipend for advisers Lisa Martinez and Elizabeth Tranthum is $400 to be shared between them beginning with the 2024-2025 school year, which will be added to the Collective Bargaining Agreement.

• Final club/activity application for the Northern Lehigh High School eSports Team. The Northern Lehigh Education Association recommended stipend for adviser Krystal Tiedeman is $3,500 beginning with the 2024-2025 school year.

• Final club/activity application for the Slatington Elementary sixth grade student council. The Northern Lehigh Education Association recommended stipend for advisers Amber Wanamaker and Melissa Coppolecchia is $400, to be shared between them beginning with the 2024-2025 school year.
