NCC center offers entrepreneur, woodcarving classes for fall

Northampton Community College announced an array of opportunities to advance your craftsmanship and professional development this fall at the Fowler Family Southside Center in Bethlehem.

The first opportunity, Fundamentals of Entrepreneurship, is a course designed for aspiring entrepreneurs and business professionals. From Sept. 9 - Nov. 4, participants will gain valuable insights and skills essential for navigating the complex landscape of entrepreneurship. The class will be led by experienced instructors and will include topics such as the time value of money, forming an LLC, product development, sales channels and developing a business plan. Embark on a creative journey and learn the foundational techniques of carving wood into intricate designs and sculptures in NCC’s Discovering Wood Carving class. From Sept. 9 - Sept. 23, participants will explore various carving tools, safety practices and carving styles through hands-on instruction and demonstrations.

By the end of the course, students will develop the skills and confidence to carve their own unique creations, from small decorative pieces to more elaborate sculptures.
