July 27, 2014 — The West squad hits three home runs to help gain a 5-2 victory over the East in the Panther Valley Little League tournament 11-12 All-Star game. Mark Kokinda breaks a scoreless tie in the fifth inning with a leadoff homer, while later in the frame Luke Eitner connects for a two-run shot. The winners, comprised of players from Lansford, Towamensing and Tamaqua Blue, also receive a solo blast in the seventh from Nate Boyle. Kyle Rusnock adds an RBI single for the West, coached by Randy Schoch. Boyle, Kokinda and Eitner each pitch three innings and combine to allow just four hits.
