The winners, coached by Peg Snyder, stake Trexler to a 4-0 advantage in the first inning thanks to a two-run single from Natalie Nestor and RBI grounders from Stacy Trexler and Bonnie Dietrich. Northwestern’s pitcher helps her own cause with a run-scoring double in the second, while Dietrich knocks in another run in the third with a single and Jodi Dellicker delivers an RBI double. Dellicker and Nestor both finish with a pair of hits.
