Lehighton picked up baseball and softball victories over Pocono Mountain West on Thursday.

BASEBALL

Lehighton-PM West

Cole Dietz pitched a three-hit shutout to lead Lehighton to a 4-0 non-league victory over Pocono Mountain West.

Dietz walked one and struck out two in the Indians’ regular-season finale.

Michael Yeakel collected two hits and scored a run, while Aiden Rarick chipped in with a hit, a run and four stolen bases.

Dietz added an RBI, as did Brady O’Donnell and Dawson Keiser.

Lehighton is now 13-7, and will return to action in the district playoffs. The Panthers are 6-13.

McKenna Snyder had a huge game at the plate to lead Lehighton to a 14-2 non-league rout of Pocono Mountain West.

Snyder had a single, a triple, a home run, four runs scored and four RBIs as the Indians closed the regular season with a 6-14 record.

Addison Chavanic (three hits, three runs scored, two RBIs), Maggie Pagotto (three hits, two runs scored, two RBIs), Morgan Myers (hit, two runs scored, one RBI) and Makayla Gaston (hit and three RBIs) all also had big games for Lehighton.
