State police at Frackville

State police at the Frackville barracks reported the following incidents:

• Brian Grutza, 44, of Barnesville, is facing a charge of terroristic threats after police were called to a disturbance at 8:52 p.m. May 3 at a property on Messerschmidt Street in Rush Township.

Police said a 32-year-old from Barnesville reported she and Grutza were engaged in an argument. She attempted to leave the premises with their children and said Grutza ran to her vehicle, retrieved a gun and shot one round in the air within proximity to her and the children.

• Police said Natasha Santana, 42, of Bronx, New York, is facing charges of possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver it. Police were called to the state correctional institute in Mahanoy Township at 1:24 p.m. May 2. Police believe she attempted to smuggle drugs into the prison for an inmate.

• A 42-year-old Ringtown woman reported a theft by deception/identity theft incident that police at 6 p.m. April 9 on Kunkle’s Hill, East Union Township.

She told police she recently lost her job and had applied for unemployment compensation benefits. Her identifying information was compromised and an account was created using her information.
