Two juveniles from Rice Township in Luzerne County were captured after they ran from the scene of a crash Friday evening in Tamaqua, borough police said.

According to police, the Schuylkill County Communications Center advised the Kline Township Police Department at 9:51 p.m. that law enforcement in Luzerne County were pursuing a black vehicle.

Tamaqua police spotted the vehicle speeding into Tamaqua on Route 309 and followed it. A short time later, they saw a white vehicle in the middle of the road, and the black vehicle also in the road.

Police said they saw two males flee from the black vehicle, and alerted the county communications center.

An officer from the West Penn Township police department located the two males.

Both will have charges of leaving the scene of an accident and fleeing from police filed against them in juvenile court.
