Police: Woman was driving at 102 mph on turnpike in Kidder

A Kingston borough woman faces charges after she was pulled over for doing over 100 mph on the Pennsylvania Turnpike.

According to Pennsylvania State Police Pocono Patrol Unit, at 10:32 a.m. on April 20, troopers conducted a traffic stop of a 2011 Cadillac SRX that had been clocked at 102 mph in a 70 mph zone. The stop happened at mile marker 97 on Route 476 northbound in Kidder Township.

Troopers learned that the operator, identified as Idaysha Miller, 24, had a suspended driver’s license and that the registration plate displayed on the vehicle did not belong to that vehicle.

Troopers also found the inspection stickers to be fictitious and the vehicle not insured or registered.

The vehicle was towed from the scene.

Charges for excessive speed, driving on a suspended driver’s license, vehicle not registered, vehicle not insured, displaying registration plats not belonging to that vehicle, and forged inspection stickers will be filed.
