Saints Peter and Paul Parish, 260 N. 3rd St, Lehighton, announces the following schedule:

Services

• The Holy Sacrifice of the Mass is offered on the Lord’s Day at, by the Rev. Christopher M. Zelonis, assisted by Deacon Joseph C. Wilhelm Jr., throughout the year on Saturdays at 4 p.m. and Sundays at 7:45 a.m. and 10 a.m.

Daily Masses are on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays at 8 a.m.

We welcome you, or welcome you back, to worship the Lord at our parish.

• The Eucharist is exposed for personal prayer every Thursday from noon to 9 p.m. We particularly need adorers between 5 and 7 p.m.

• On the weekend of April 27 and 28, Tom Miller will be speaking at all Masses about Catholic Charities’ care for the needy in our community and the importance of contributions to the “Because We Are Catholic” diocesan appeal.

• Families get together to pray the Scriptural Rosary every third Friday of the month in the hall at 6:30 p.m. This month’s Rosary will take place on April 19.

Bible study

On Thursdays until May 30, we are having a bible study through WINE: Women in the New Evangelization called “Walking with Mary.” On catholicvineyard.com you can purchase the materials for $25; bring those materials along with your bible and note paper. If interested in participating, call Mary at 610-984-2023. Accommodations can be made for those who cannot afford the materials.

Help available

• Catholic Charities of the Diocese of Allentown is accepting appointments and walk-ins at the parish convent building every Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday from 9 to 2:30 p.m. Services include individual, marriage, and family counseling; pregnancy and parenting support (counseling, material assistance such as diapers, wipes, baby items); and supportive services (case management, material assistance, emergency rental assistance, referrals). Our parish Saint Vincent de Paul Society hosts “Vincent’s Closet” by appointment in our former convent building on 242 N. 3rd Street. The society offers clothing and toiletries for those in need and seeks donations of the same. Call the Rectory for more information.
