State police at Lehighton

State police from Lehighton reported on several incidents. They didn’t release names in all the incidents.

• A 30-year-old woman from Pen Argyl was cited for simple trespass after police were called to Emerson Road, Ross Township, at 3:15 a.m. March 24.

A 57-year-old man from Wind Gap, reported the woman was trespassing on private property.

• A 61-year-old Lehighton man is facing charges of driving under the influence of alcohol or a controlled substance after police made a traffic stop at 2:15 a.m. March 24.

They stopped him in a 2007 GMC Yukon for multiple Title 75 offenses.

• A 47-year-old woman from New York, New York, was charged with harassment after police were called to a residence on West Patterson Street in Lansford 4:53 a.m. March 23.

A 53-year-old man from Lansford told police the woman had annoyed him.

• Police charged a 37-year-old Lansford man with possession of a controlled substance after they were summoned to the Turkey Hill store on West Patterson Street in Lansford at 3:08 a.m. March 23.

They said the man was found to be unruly in the bathroom of the store, where police found him after their arrival.

• Police charged a 43-year-old New Tripoli man with driving under the influence of alcohol or a controlled substance after a traffic stop they made at 2:13 a.m. March 23.

They stopped him in a 2015 Jeep Cherokee for Title 75 offenses on Delaware Avenue in Palmerton.

• Police charged a 48-year-old Jim Thorpe man with driving under the influence of alcohol or a controlled substance after a traffic stop they made at 2:13 a.m. March 23.

They stopped him in a 2023 Ford Ranger for Title 75 offenses on Lehigh Drive in East Penn Township.

• Police said a 57-year-old Palmerton man reported a burglary at 6:49 p.m. March 22 on the 500 block of S. Fireline Road, Lower Towamensing Township.

Someone forced entry to the residence, which was unoccupied at the time. No items were reported to be missing.

The door frame of the residence was damaged at an estimated cost of $400, police said.

• Jasper DiSanto, 19, of Albrightsville, is facing drug possession charges after police made a traffic stop at 4:46 p.m. March 21 in the 900 block of Walnut Avenue in Jim Thorpe Borough.

Police said he was stopped in a 2012 Chevrolet Impala for Title 75 offenses. Police found he had drugs and drug paraphernalia.

• Two Lehighton residents, a woman aged 39 and a man aged 37, were cited for harassment by physical contact after police were called to an incident at 3:30 a.m. March 21.

Police said it happened at a property on Lower Nis Hollow Road, Mahoning Township, when the two parties wrestled and fought with each other.

• A 67-year-old Kunkletown man was cited for harassment by physical contact after police were called to an incident at 12:01 a.m. March 20 at a property on Bollinger Road in Eldred Township.

A 57-year-old man from Kunkletown reported the woman grabbed him in the face.

• Police said a 42-year-old woman from Tobyhanna is facing charges of driving under the influence of a controlled substance after a traffic stop they made at 9:30 p.m. March 19.

They stopped her in a 2013 Volkswagen for Title 75 offenses in the 400 block of Haney Road, Polk Township. Police said they also discovered the woman had an active warrant out for her arrest.

• Police said they were called to a terroristic threats incident at a Pleasant Valley School District site at 11 a.m. March 19. A 12-year-old girl from Kunkletown received threatening text messages from a student. The investigation is ongoing.
