State police at Fern Ridge

State police at the Fern Ridge barracks reported the following incidents:

• Laura Walsh, 44, and Leanne Yaakubov, 37, both of Stroudsburg, were cited for harassment after police responded to an incident at 1:52 p.m. March 17 on the 3000 block of Hemlock Road, Jackson Township.

Police said they directed obscene/offensive language at each other.

• Khalil Barr, 23, of Brodheadsville, is facing charges of possession of a controlled substance after police responded to the Chestnuthill Township Park, Route 715, at 7:49 p.m. March 29.

Police said they were conducting a check of the park when they located a 2022 Nissan and the occupants were in possession of drugs.

• A 45-year-old man from Blakeslee is facing charges of possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia after police conducted a traffic stop March 29.

They stopped him in a 2019 Chrysler Pacifica for traffic violations on Route 115 in Chestnuthill Township. Police said he had an ignition interlock driver’s license and was operating a vehicle not equipped with an ignition interlock system. He was in possession of heroin and related paraphernalia.

• Jesse Cicale, 39, of East Stroudsburg, was cited twice for shoplifting after police were called to the Weis Market, Weir Lake Road and Route 209, Chestnuthill Township, at 12:20 a.m. March 24 and 10:31 a.m. March 28.

Police said in the first incident he was caught trying to steal $42.66 worth of merchandise from the store, while in the second incident, he was caught trying to steal $27.58 worth of items from the store.

• A 75-year-old Albrightsville man is the victim of a theft by disposition of funds.

Police were called March 28 to Towamensing Trail, Penn Forest Township.

Police said he reported someone “scammed” him out of $3,000.

• The theft of a 2004 Polaris Predator ATV from a property in Chestnuthill Township is under investigation. A 30-year-old man from Delaware Water Gap reported someone stole the black and orange colored ATV on Route 115 between midnight March 24 and 5:30 p.m. March 26.

• Police were called to a property on Shane Drive, Chestnuthill Township, to investigate a theft by deception incident. A 72-year-old man from Effort reported someone contacted his bank and attempted to access his account and withdraw $1,000 from it.
