State police at Lehighton

State police at the Lehighton barracks reported the following incidents:

• A 40-year-old Palmerton woman is facing charges of driving under the influence of a controlled substance after a traffic stop police made at 2:18 a.m. March 30 on Route 715 in Chestnuthill Township.

Police said she was stopped in a 2009 Ford F150 for a Motor Vehicle Code violation.

• Police charged John Lemon, 49, of Kunkletown, for driving under the influence of alcohol and/or a controlled substance after they responded to an incident at 10:51 p.m. March 29.

Police said were summoned to a “roadway disturbance” at 9057 Robinhood Road, Polk Township.

They said Lemon, who was visibly intoxicated, was also arrested for simple assault.

• A 29-year-old man from Astoria, New York, is facing charges of driving under the influence of a controlled substance after a traffic stop police made on Interchange Road in Polk Township.

He was stopped in a 2008 Ford F350 for a Motor Vehicle Code violation at 1:22 a.m. March 29.

• Police are investigating a theft by deception/identity theft incident they were called to at 2:58 p.m. March 28.

They said a 23-year-old Kunkletown man reported having issues with his unemployment compensation application due to his identity being compromised.

• Xander Hill, 19, of Lehighton, is facing charges of driving under the influence of a controlled substance after police attempted to make a traffic stop at 10:43 p.m. March 27.

They said Hill was driving a 2020 Jeep Cherokee and fled the scene of the attempted stop at Route 248 and Interchange Road in Franklin Township but was taken into custody after a pursuit.

• Jose Ramos, 27, of Weissport, was cited for disorderly conduct after police were called to a disturbance at 10:09 p.m. March 27.

It happened at 212 White St., Weissport. Police said Ramos fled the scene upon their arrival and the citation was issued on information received from the victim.

• Police said a 46-year-old Saylorsburg woman reported medication was stolen from her 2011 Toyota vehicle at 6:25 p.m. March 27.

They said the ADHD medication was stolen when the vehicle was parked on Meixsell Valley Road in Ross Township.

• Police said $600 was stolen from a Wells Fargo Bank account after unknown suspects hacked the victims’ cellular device to obtain identity information.

A 66-year-old woman from Effort and a 59-year-old woman from Kunkletown who reported the incident at a property on Mountain View Drive, Polk Township.

• A 16-year-old boy from Saylorsburg will be cited for harassment by physical contact after police were called to an incident at 2 p.m. March 21 at a property on Pearson Lane, Ross Township. An 18-year-old man from Saylorsburg reported the incident.

• Numerous drugs were stolen from a residence on Deer Park Lane in Penn Forest Township.

A 57-year-old Jim Thorpe man reported the theft happened between March 10 and 8 a.m. March 13.

Items stolen included 20 30-mg morphine, 25 15-mg morphine, 20 carisoprodol and 10 Ativan tablets.

• A 22-year-old woman from Aquashicola reported a theft by deception/ATM card theft. Police were called to a residence on Forest Inn Road, Lower Towamensing Township, at 9:44 a.m. March 9 to investigate the online theft.

• A 38-year-old woman from Bordentown, New Jersey, reported a theft by deception/identity theft at 5 p.m. Feb. 24 on Blue Mountain Drive in Lower Towamensing Township.

Police said she reported an someone utilized her stolen credit card to make unauthorized purchases.

• Police said they were called to the Eldred Township Municipal Building, Kunkletown, at 9:21 a.m. Feb. 6 to investigate a theft by deception/identity theft report.

They said they were told $2,408 was stolen in a paycheck incident.

• 17-year-old girl from Lehighton reported a harassment by communications incident they were summoned to at 8:19 a.m. Nov. 26.

It happened on Middle Lane, East Penn Township.
