April 3, 1981 - Tamaqua’s Tom Miller pitches a three-hitter to lead the Blue Raiders to a 4-1 Schuylkill League victory over Shenandoah Valley. Tamaqua’s offense gives its pitcher the only runs he would need when it scores three times in the third inning. Miller and Danny Gerber both single before walks to Todd LePage and Charles Herbinko force home the first run. Mark Bauzon drives home the other two runs with a double. The Raiders add an insurance run in the top of the seventh when Herbinko singles home Gerber, who had walked.
