Local Roundup: Results from April 4

Pleasant Valley’s girls lacrosse team remained undefeated with a victory over Southern Lehigh on Thursday.

GIRLS LACROSSE

Pleasant Valley-Southern Lehigh

Rylee Rath scored seven goals and Devon Bush reached a milestone as Pleasant Valley gained a 14-3 victory over Southern Lehigh.

The win keeps the Bears unbeaten at 7-0.

Bush finished with three goals to reach 200 in her career and also added five assists.

Olivia Iandoli contributed two goal and three helpers, while Morgan Ryals and Liv Rath both chipped in with a goal.

PV goalie Abygail Borger came through with seven saves.

BASEBALL

Jim Thorpe-North Schuylkill

North Schuylkill outscored Jim Thorpe, 17-10, in a wild Schuylkill League contest.

The Olympians - who outhit the Spartans by a 15-11 margin - used a six-run sixth inning to trim a seven-run deficit to just one, but North Schuylkill countered with six more runs in the home half to secure the win.

Matt Domski collected three hits, one a double, knocked in two runs and scored twice to lead Thorpe, while Jack Edwards added three hits, three RBIs and a run scored.

Josh Louk also finished with three hits and a pair of runs, with Cole Lazorick chipping in with an RBI double.

The loss dropped the Olympians to 1-4 overall and 0-3 in the league. North Schuylkill is now 4-1 and 2-1.

Jim Thorpe-North Schuylkill

North Schuylkill jumped out to an early lead and cruised to a 10-1 Schuylkill League victory over Jim Thorpe.

Olivia Jones had three hits, one a triple, and knocked in three runs for the Spartans, who scored five times in the opening inning.

The Olympians’ Olivia Jones had a hit and scored her team’s only run, while Hannah Zacharias added a double.

The win lifts North Schuylkill to 4-2 overall and 3-0 in the league, while Thorpe fell to 3-3 and 0-3.
