Turnpike crashes

State police at the Pocono Barracks reported the following crashes that happened on the Northeast Extension of the Pennsylvania Turnpike:

• A Palmerton woman and three passengers in a vehicle she was driving, two aged 12 and the other, 15, escaped injuries in a one-vehicle crash at 12:40 p.m. March 23.

Brandi L. Delgado, 39, was driving a 2011 Audi when the incident happened at mile marker 109.5 in Bear Creek Township.

Police said she was northbound and was traveling too fast for conditions when the vehicle left the lane of travel and struck a concrete traffic barrier. It had disabling damages and was towed from the scene.

Police said she was cited for failure to drive at a safe speed.

• No one was injured in a two-vehicle crashes at 11:08 a.m. March 18 in the Parryville section of the turnpike.

Police said Christopher K. Griffin, 34, of Philadelphia, was driving a 2019 Kia Forte northbound when he swerved into the right lane of travel and struck the driver’s side rear trailer of a 2020 Volvo rig operated by Artem Dolgikh, 34, of Brooklyn, New York.
