State Police at Frackville

State police at Frackville report the following:

• John Venusti, 66, of Shenandoah, is facing charges of driving under the influence of alcohol after police made a traffic stop at 12:16 a.m. March 24 in the 600 block of South Lehigh Avenue in West Mahanoy Township.

Police said he was stopped in a 2021 Subaru Forester for multiple traffic violations.

• Police were summoned to a theft report at 369 Hazel St., Delano Township. They said the victim reported someone stole parts from multiple truck tractors between Jan. 1 and 5 p.m.

• Police are investigating a corruption of minors incident that allegedly took place at a property on Ohio Avenue in West Mahanoy Township. It was reported to have happened between midnight March 23 and 11:34 a.m. March 24.

• Police said they were called to a “recovered vehicle” incident at 10:24 a.m. March 23 off Eleanor Avenue in West Mahanoy Township. They said after conducting a CLEAN/NCIC search of the vehicle, it was determined the blue and white Yamaha was reported to have been stolen.

• Police were summoned to a disturbance at a store on Barnesville Drive, Rush Township, at 7:59 p.m. March 18. They said the suspect left the store before police’s arrival without any further issue having taken place.

• Police a man was arraigned on charges of terroristic threats after they were called to a domestic incident at 8:24 p.m. March 22 on Church Street in Ryan Township. They said it was reported an intoxicated man threatened to kill his wife with a gun. He was taken into custody without incident.

• Police were called to a scattering rubbish incident at 12:47 a.m. March 21 at the intersection of the Shenandoah Highway and Route 924 in West Mahanoy Township. They said someone dumped wooden fencing from a white panel van on property of Avangrid Renewables, Shenandoah.

• Police said someone damaged a solar-powered variable speed limit sign on Interstate 81 in Ryan Township. They were called to the site at 10:48 p.m. March 20 by a PennDOT road crew member who reported unknown actors damaged a lock on the sign mechanism, cut wiring and tampered with the contents of the unit.

• Michael Rush, 37, of Shenandoah, is facing drug possession charges after a traffic stop made by police at 2:06 a.m. March 8 in the 100 block of East Centre Street in Mahanoy City.

Police said he was stopped in a 2009 Ford Escape. Police observed signs of impairment and took him into custody.

• A 55-year-old Shenandoah man was committed to the Schuylkill County Prison, Pottsville, on an active warrant out against him after he was found to be a passenger in a 2000 Honda Accord that police pulled over at 12:41 a.m. March 17 in the 1000 clock of West Centre Street in Mahanoy City.

Police said the car was driven by a 46-year-old woman from Shenandoah who was found to be in possession of drug paraphernalia and was cited accordingly. Police said the man is also facing drug possession charges as a result of the stop made for traffic violations.
