Pleasant Valley School District has a new assistant business manager.

The school board approved hiring Leann Sites as the new assistant business manager. She will replace Tammy Smale.

Smale was promoted in February to business manager following the retirement of business manager Michael Simonetta.

Sites will begin her new position on or about May 28, with a salary of $88,000 (prorated).

“Welcome to the community,” said school board President Susan Kresge.

The school district is also saying goodbye to a staff member.

Brigid Rosendale, a school counselor at PVHS since January 2023, has turned in her resignation. It will be effective June 30.

Kresge said the school board received “a very nice letter” from Rosendale explaining that she is moving out of the area because of her husband’s job.

Additional personnel items in the human resources report include:

• Athletic Volunteers - Mark Bower and Logan Cramer, boys basketball; and Tyler Morgan, boys lacrosse;

• Change to Current Assignment - Andrea Moore, building secretary at PVIS to administrative secretary in the administration building effective April 2. She is replacing Augie Kresge, who retired in early March. Moore’s salary will be $36,367;

• Hiring of Teacher for Learning Recovery Opportunity - Jennifer Ansbach, PVIS, and Julie Valenzuela, PVMS, both at $58 per hour;

• Position description for an electrician to be added to the administrative support services (Group 2) of the Administrative/Administrative Support Staff Compensation Plan;

• Position volunteers - Courtney Antoniello, Shealby Behler, Alysha DePaul, Chandra Gonzalez, Douglas Hollman, Lydia Hower, Stephanie Keppler, Kristina O’Connell, Samantha Manzo, Linda Audett, Brittany Campodonico, Samantha Lasala, Barbara Price, Heather Klix, Erik Price, Donna Koerner, Destiney Young, Kaitlin Banks, Tara Kilmer and Brittany Smith, and;

• Supplemental Contracts: Nonathletic - Danielle Brandes, Language Arts Department Chairperson, PVHS, $2,275.00 (prorated), March 25 start date.
