The Lehighton and Northwestern track and field teams both recorded sweeps on Tuesday.

TRACK

Jim Thorpe-Lehighton

The Lehighton boys and girls picked up wins against Jim Thorpe in Schuylkill League action.

The Indians posted a 93.5-56.5 victory in the boys meet, while the girls recorded a 94-56 win.

Joe Roth won the 100, javelin and high jump for the Tribe. Elijah Pagotto (1600, 3200) and Bodie Hawk (discus, shot put) also had multiple wins.

Brielle Frable (1600, 800) and Lorah Thomas (shot put, discus) had multiple wins for the Tribe in the girls meet. Leah Wasko won the 100H and triple jump for the Thorpe girls.

Salisbury-Northwestern

Northwestern swept Salisbury in Colonial League action.

The Tigers posted a 127-23 victory in the girls meet, and posted a 106.5-43.5 win in the boys contest.

Carsyn Van Norman (100, 200), Katie Brensinger (100H, 300H), Abby Pomajevich (long jump, triple jump) and Sadie Fenstermaker (shot put, discus) all had multiple wins for the Northwestern girls.

Northwestern had 11 different winners in the boys meet and won all three relays. Landen Matson (200, 400 relay), Del Tyler (long jump, 400 relay), Gavin Nelson (high jump, 1600 relay, 3200 relay), Sean Kershner (800, 1600 relay, 3200 relay), Benjamin Bachman (400, 1600 relay) and Greyson Wellings (1600, 3200 relay) each had individual event wins and were on winning relay teams.

Northern Lehigh split with Palisades in a Colonial League meet.

The Bulldogs posted an 82-59 win in the girls meet, while the boys fell to the Pirates 103-45.

Evelina Mayak had a big day for the Nolehi girls, winning the 100H, 300H and triple jump. Mikayla Gordon (200, 400) and Katelynn Barthold (1600, long jump) also picked up multiple event wins.

Bailey Smith picked up wins in the discus and javelin for the Bulldogs in the boys meet.

The Raiders posted an 85.3-65.6 win in the girls meet, but suffered an 81-69 loss on the boys side.

Alexis Buchala won the 1600 and 3200, while Samantha Plasha won the pole vault and long jump.

Martin Griffin won the high jump, long jump and triple jump for the Tamaqua boys.
