Meghan Sander is the new Parryville Borough administrator after council members approved her appointment at their March 18 meeting.

Sander replaces Cathy Hawk, who has also served the borough as council president in the past.

“I’ve tried to focus on the needs of the community. I believe in the borough,” Hawk said.

Jason Smith, current council president, thanked Hawk for her service and her mentorship.

Sander expressed gratitude at the opportunity to serve the community and said she is “passionate about local government.”

She says it is her dream to “make the world a better place.”

In other borough news, Mayor Tom Kobal is running a golf tournament on May 11. Part of the proceeds will go to the borough.
