Carbon emergency services programs

The Carbon County Emergency Management Agency has announced the following trainings, meetings and seminars. All events will take place at the EMA, located at 1264 Emergency Lane, Nesquehoning, unless otherwise noted.

• CERT: April 13-14 from 8 a.m.-4 p.m. each day at Carbon County EMA.

• AWR-148 Crisis Management for School-based Incidents: April 22 from 8 a.m.-5 p.m. at Carbon County EMA. Course covers proactive threat mitigation, response and recovery, vulnerability and threat assessments and more. Open to all first responders, school administrators, school safety and security personnel, municipal emergency management personnel and community stakeholders. • Emergency Vehicle Driver Training: May 20 at 6:30 p.m. at the Carbon County EMA. Register on the Carbon County website.

• Structural Burn Session: May 28, May 30 and June 1 at the Carbon County EMA/EOTC. Register on the Carbon County website.

• Elected Officials Orientation: June 1 from 9 a.m.-noon at the Carbon County EOTC. Register on the Carbon County website.

• Pump Operations 1: Aug. 6, 8 and 10 at 6:30 p.m. at the Carbon EMA/EOTC. Register on the Carbon County website.

• Bucks Advanced Fire Academy: Sept. 17 at 6:30 p.m. at the Carbon EMA/EOTC. Register on the Carbon County website.
