The Pleasant Valley baseball, softball and girls lacrosse teams all secured victories on Tuesday.

BASEBALL

Pleasant Valley-ES North

Leadoff hitter Dakoda Lucas recorded two hits and scored two runs in a 6-2 Pleasant Valley victory over East Stroudsburg North in Eastern Pennsylvania Conference play.

Lucas had a double among his two hits, while Zach Pandolfo also had a pair of hits and scored a run for the Bears. Sam Smale had a hit and two RBIs to help Pleasant Valley move to 2-0.

Pleasant Valley-ES North

Junior Brianca Pridham homered twice and went 4-for-4 with seven RBIs in a 17-2 Pleasant Valley victory over East Stroudsburg North in Eastern Pennsylvania Conference play.

Katie Van Schoyck and Jovie Valenzuela each knocked in two runs for the Bears (1-0), who also hit four triples in the game.

Pleasant Valley starting pitcher Kailyn Getz scored two runs and gave up one hit in two innings pitched for the win.

Marian-Executive Education

Morgan Kelly led Marian with three hits, including an inside-the-park home run, in a 19-6 non-league victory over Executive Education in the season opener Monday.

Danica Karlick picked up the win in the circle for the Fillies (1-0). Anna Grabosky and Gracie Sendatch each doubled in the victory.

BOYS TENNIS

Jim Thorpe-Palmerton

Palmerton swept Jim Thorpe for a 5-0 non-league victory.

Colby Chadwick claimed the first singles match, and Levi Johnson and Jared Reinhard also won their singles matches for the Blue Bombers, who won both doubles matches by forfeit.

Notre Dame ES-Lehighton

Lehighton edged Notre Dame of East Stroudsburg for a 3-2 non-league.

Bayto Cokrilja and Bekim Cokrilja grabbed singles’ play wins for the Indians. Isaac Carpenter and Phillip Ebbert paired up to earn a hard-fought victory in doubles’ play.

Lehighton improved to 2-1 on the season.

GIRLS LACROSSE

Pleasant Valley-Emmaus

Pleasant Valley made it two in a row to start the season, as the Bears topped Emmaus for a 13-6 win in Eastern Pennsylvania Conference action.

Devon Bush paced the Bears, as she netted six goals and one assist. Riley Rath scored four goals, while Olivia Iandoli and Samantha Miller added a goal and an assist for the back-to-back EPC champions.

Jordyn Poll led the way for the Hornets (1-1), as she finished with two goals.
