March 16, 2005 - Marian allows Nativity just 14 points over the final three quarters to gain a 45-25 victory in a PIAA Class 1A girls semifinal contest. The victory lifts the Fillies, coached by Paul Brutto, into the state championship game. Jen Blasko finishes with a double-double for the winners, scoring 14 points and pulling down 11 rebounds. At one point in the game, she runs off 10 consecutive points. Marian, which keeps the Golden Girls off the scoreboard for over 13 minutes during a stretch from the second quarter into the third, also receives 12 points from Tricia McElmoyle.
