March 15, 1985 - Weatherly’s inside game and defense prove to be the difference in earning a 50-35 victory over Jenkintown in the opening round of the PIAA Class 1A playoffs. The Wreckers, coached by Tony Antinozzi, receive strong games from frontcourt mates Gary Walker and John Chernansky. Walker scores 12 of his game-high 18 points in the opening half as the winners take a seven-point halftime lead. Chernansky tallies five of his 17 points during a 13-0 run in the fourth quarter that gives Weatherly a 20-point advantage. The Wreckers also receive eight points from John Parker.
