This weekend

• Salem United Methodist Church, 4145 Forest Inn Road, Palmerton, will host an Easter Egg Hunt at 11 a.m. Saturday. Open to the public. Ages infant through 12 years.

• Salem-St. Paul’s Lutheran is having a Family and Youth Day with an egg hunt at 11:20 a.m. Sunday. The church is located on Route 209 in Kresgeville.

• Polk Township Volunteer Fire Company is hosting breakfast with the Easter bunny from 7-11 a.m. Sunday at the fire house, Route 209 in Kresgeville.

March 23-24

• Annual egg hunt in the Palmerton borough park will take place at 11 a.m. March 23 for children up to and including the age of 12. The event is sponsored by the Palmerton Area Chamber of Commerce, along with assistance from local businesses, civic groups, and the Aquashicola Fire Department.

• The American Legion Post 927 in Gilbert, Breakfast with the Bunny will be held from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. March 23. Egg hunt beginning at 2 p.m. Bring nonperishable items for the West End Food Pantry. Free booth spots to local businesses/vendors to offer a game/craft/giveaway for the children.

• Cornerstone Community Church, 388 Polk Township Road, Kunkletown, will have a huge egg hunt and activities from 3 to 5 p.m. March 23. Prizes, ice cream, snacks, story walk and huge Easter Egg Hunt. Egg hunt for toddlers to fifth grade, story walk, raffles for grades 6-12. Free.

• Chestnuthill Parks and Recreation, egg-stravaganza event, March 23, Chestnuthill Park. Age-specific egg hunts all starting promptly at 11 a.m. in the following categories: 0-3 years old, 4-6 years old, 7-8 years old, and 9-10 years old. Photos with the Easter bunny and scavenger hunts. Rain date March 24.

• McMichaels UMC is holding an Easter Egg Hunt for children at the church on Palm Sunday, March 24, after the worship service at 11 a.m. All children 18 and under are welcome.

• Pleasant Valley Presbyterian is holding an Easter Egg Hunt on March 23 from 1 to 4 p.m. (Rain date is March 24, from 2 to 4 p.m.). There will be games, a bouncy house, crafters and a visit by the Easter bunny. Craft vendors are needed so if anyone knows of someone who would be interested, please let the church know. • St. Peter’s UMC invites children ages 2 to 11 to participate in the church’s Annual Easter Egg Hunt beginning at 11 a.m. on March 23 at the church grounds (924 Route 115, Saylorsburg). The rain date is March 30.

• Zion Lutheran is holding its 10th Annual Community Easter Egg Hunt on March 24 at 1 p.m. Games, food, and the Easter bunny will be on site for photos. All ages up to and including Grade 5 are invited.

• Bethany Wesleyan Church is hosting an Easter Egg Hunt for all kids from infant through grade 5 and their families from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on March 23. The event is open to the entire Lehighton Community. Mamasons Cheesesteak Hut and The Melt Wagon food trucks will be on site and available to purchase lunch. Indoor and outdoor seating will be available. Egg Hunt times: 11:20 a.m., ages infant-2; 11:40 a.m., ages 3-5; noon, grades K-2; 12:20 p.m., grades 3-5. The church is located at 1122 Fairyland Road, Lehighton.

Easter weekend

• New England Fire Company will host an Easter Egg Hunt for the children beginning at 10 a.m. on Good Friday at the fire hall.

• St. Matthew’s UCC is hosting its annual Easter Egg Hunt on March 30, at 1 p.m., inside the West End Food Pantry, 516 Kunkletown Road, Kunkletown. Egg hunts will occur by age group. There will be snacks, crafts, and games after the hunts. The Easter bunny will be visiting. The event is free and open to the community. Please bring your own basket.

• All You Can Eat Breakfast with the Easter bunny, Slatedale Fire Company, 3922 Main Street Slatedale. 7 to 11 a.m. March 30. The Easter bunny arrives at 10 a.m. Egg hunt will follow at 1 p.m. Bring your own basket. Groups based on age. For more information call 610-767-6887.

• The Jim Thorpe Touchdown Club’s 4th Annual Community Egg Hunt is from 9 to 11 a.m. March 30, at Olympian Stadium, 1 Olympian Way, Jim Thorpe. If rain, it will be in the gym. Family admission includes age-specific egg hunts; photos with the Easter bunny, basket raffle and refreshments. All proceeds benefit the Jim Thorpe Football program - 7th-12th grade.

• The Diligent Fire Co.#3, 330 Center Avenue, Jim Thorpe will hold its annual Easter Egg Hunt at 1 p.m. on March 30 in the area behind the firehouse. This will be an actual egg hunt in the straw by age group, with plenty of prizes, and a bag of treats for every child attending.

• Lehighton Pharmacy will host an egg hunt from 2 to 4 p.m. March 30 at 428 S. Seventh St., Lehighton. Ages infant to 12 are welcome. The Easter bunny will be on hand for photos.
