Cancer Society auction this weekend at Tamaqua H.S.

The Cancer Telethon. Org’s Auction/Basket Raffle is Sunday at the Tamaqua High School gymnasium,

There will be hundreds of prizes.

The feature is high-value “white ticket” items and additional high-value “red ticket” items, both sections offered for the price of three for one dollar.

Seating will be available in the gymnasium, or you will be contacted by text or phone to pick your winnings up after the auction or within the following days at the Telethon Office in Lansford.

On Saturday, stop by the Shop and Drop from 5-7 p.m. to get a preview of the items or drop your tickets to avoid the Sunday crowd. Doors open for the auction at 11:30 a.m. Sunday and the event starts at 2:30 p.m.

Top prizes on the specially purchased “white ticket” include $1,000, Dell Inspiron laptop, Frigidaire side by side refrigerator/freezer with ice-maker, fuel oil, Sundance Vacations 8-day trip, wooden dresser w/hutch, lawn mower, lottery tickets, Nintendo Switch, 55” TCL Smart Roku television, a pizza/month for a year, wine tasting package, Cape Cod overnight stay, autographed Mario Lemieux Penguins hockey puck, Kolbalt 100 piece tool set with case, tickets to Sight and Sound, Electrode balance bike, and more.

The red table offers a large variety of high-value items that also will appeal to everyone.

Non-cash payments will be accepted via an online payment application accessible via a QR code. As always, cash is accepted and preferred.

A selection of food will be sold to enjoy inside or for take-out.

Polka Joe with WMGH will be live, celebrating 50 years of polka time, and playing everyone’s favorite toe-tapping songs.

All proceeds will be presented at the Annual American Cancer Telethon scheduled for April 6-7 live at Penn’s Peak from noon to midnight each day which will be broadcast live on BRC-TV13, Service Electric and Pottsville Comcast TV.
