State Police at Frackville

State police at the Frackville barracks reported the following:

• Loie Malloy, 53, of Freeland, was cited for retail theft (shoplifting) after police were called to the Walmart store, 35 Plaza Drive, Rush Township, at 12:12 a.m. March 7.

Police said it is alleged she was caught attempting to steal $88.78 worth of merchandise.

• Police said a 53-year-old woman is the victim of a theft that they were summoned to investigate on March 6.

They were called to a property on Water Street in Blythe Township where the victim related her bank account was accessed and funds were removed from it.

• Santos Rodriguez, 22, of Mahanoy City, was arraigned on charges of assault with a deadly weapon after police were called to a domestic dispute at 6:61 a.m. Feb. 26 at a property on West Centre Street in Shenandoah.

Police said their investigation determined he was involved in an argument with a 29-year-old man from Pottsville. He retrieved a knife and stabbed the victim in the left shoulder. Police said the victim was transported to an area hospital to be treated while Rodriguez was taken into custody without incident.

Police said a 19-year-old woman from Schuylkill Haven is also a victim of the incident.
