More than 14,000 residents in the PPL service area are without power as of 11:30 a.m. Monday.

In Carbon County, nearly 900 customers are without electricity, including 13 in Kidder Township, 117 in Lower Towamensing Township, 375 in Mahoning Township, 342 in Towamensing Township, 34 in Penn Forest Township and 2 in Packer Township.

In Lehigh County 131 customers are out, with just under 200 in Northampton County.

Monroe County has 7,760 customers without power, including 1, 139 in Chestnuthill Township and 729 in Polk Township.

In Schuylkill County about 500 customers are affected, including 144 in Tamaqua and 205 in West Penn Township.

High winds are expected to continue through the afternoon.
