Palmerton Police Department responded to 351 calls in January and February.

The following were charged:

• Amy Freed, 37, Palmerton, one count each of possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia, on Dec. 19, 2023, at the intersection of First Street and Delaware Avenue.

• Ward Willis, 53, Palmerton, one count each of violation of a PFA Order, possession of a controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia, and possession of contraband in a prison, on Jan. 1 in the 300 block of Lehigh Avenue.

• Henry Stanley, 42, Mount Bethel, two counts of violating the home improvement consumer protection act, and one count each of theft by unlawful taking, theft by deception, and unauthorized use of a motor vehicle, on Feb. 2 in the 600 block of Mauch Chunk Road.

• Robert Werner, 42, Palmerton, one count of retail theft, on Feb. 6 in the 600 block of Delaware Avenue.

• Jonathan Steigerwalt, 64, Palmerton, two counts of harassment, and one count each of stalking, defiant trespass, and persistent disorderly conduct, on Feb. 16 in the 600 block of Lafayette Avenue.

Other incidents

• Palmerton Police filed five non-traffic citations; two each for public drunkenness and harassment by physical contact, and one for harassment.

• Palmerton Police issued 40 traffic violation warnings and 90 traffic citations: 47 for expired inspection, nine each for speeding and maximum gross weight of vehicles, five for expired registration, four each for driving under suspension and carrying and exhibiting driver’s license on demand, three for obedience to traffic control devices, and one each for investigation by police officer, general lighting requirements, driving on right side of roadway, careless driving, reckless driving, driving on roadways laned for traffic, turning movements and required signals, driving vehicle at safe speed, and handicapped parking violation.
