The monthly food distribution in Jim Thorpe will be held Saturday at a new location.

The program, organized by Ebenezer Evangelical Congregational Church, gets underway from 9 to 11 a.m. at the rear of Ned’s Cleaners, 104 Fern St.

The food will be given out with a drive-through method. Participants are asked to enter at Seventh Street and proceed to Fern Street. Traffic will then exit onto Front Street.

The church had held the distribution at Jim Thorpe Memorial Hall. The site is undergoing renovations and unable to host the pantry.

The food pantry will continue to use the refrigerators and freezers at Memorial Hall during the renovation. Whether the pantry can return to Memorial Hall depends on the renovations and how much room might be available afterward.

The pantry uses at least half of the hall, and the renovations will have part of the hall converted to borough offices.
