State police at Frackville

State police at the Frackville barracks reported the following:

• Police were called to a report of unauthorized use of a motor vehicle in Walker Township on Feb. 25.

A Tamaqua resident, told police his 2011 Volkswagen was being used by an ex-girlfriend without his authorization. The investigation is continuing.

• Police are investigating a scattering rubbish incident reported at 1:11 p.m. Jan. 20.

It happened along Peach Drive in East Brunswick Township. Police said someone dumped trash near the victim’s driveway. Police said a discarded pill bottle with possible identifiable information was found in the debris.

• James Morgan, 59, of Mahanoy City, is facing charges of driving under the influence of alcohol after a traffic stop police made at 7:42 p.m. Feb. 29.

They stopped him in a 2015 Kia Optima for a traffic violation on the Gold Star Highway in Shenandoah, and he displayed signs of impairment.

• Police charged a 23-year-old Catawissa man for harassment by physical contact after they responded to a domestic incident at 1:46 p.m. Feb. 28 on Scenic Mountain Road, East Brunswick Township.

They said the victim is a 26-year-old woman from Catawissa who is a sister of the arrestee. They said the woman reported she and her brother were involved in an argument at a family gathering over marital/family matters and her brother struck her in the back of the head. The woman was uninjured, police said.

• A 44-year-old New Ringgold man is facing Dog Law charges after his Rottweiler attacked a neighbor’s dogs along the Schuylkill Road in East Brunswick Township at 4:55 p.m. Feb. 29.

Police said a 40-year-old woman from New Ringgold told them she was outside her residence when the incident happened. The matter was reported to the Schuylkill County dog warden, police said.

• Two McAdoo residents were cited after a domestic dispute at 10:51 a.m. March 2 on East Blaine Street in McAdoo.

A 35-year-old woman was cited for simple assault and a 33-year-old man was cited for harassment by physical contact.

• Police are investigating the theft of a license plate from a vehicle in Blythe Township.

A 20-year-old man from Cumbola reported at 10:54 a.m. March 3 that someone took the plate off his Jeep vehicle. It bears the registration LYP4432.

• Police said they responded to a report of a stolen dog and the dog was later found dead in Kline Township.

They said the dog was stolen between 4-7:28 a.m. March 2 after someone broke into a residence on Fourth Street. The dog was found deceased the following day about one block from the residence from where it was stolen. Police said there are no signs of foul play.

• Police were called to a criminal mischief incident that happened between 8 p.m. March 2 and 4:46 p.m. March 3 at a property on Hillside Lane in East Brunswick Township.

A 53-year-old woman from New Ringgold told police someone damaged a cardboard box and fled the scene.

• Kiari Caballery Bracero, 30, of Reading, was cited for harassment by physical contact after the victim, a 30-year-old woman from Shillington, went to their barracks to report the incident at 8:11 p.m. Feb. 17.

Police said she told them she was involved in an altercation with Caballery Bracero that turned physical.

• Police said a 37-year-old Girardville man reported to them his girlfriend was taking his Social Security money, amounting to $9,333, without authorization but the investigation determined a crime did not occur.

They were summoned at 4:12 p.m. Feb. 14 to West Main Street, Girardville, to investigate a reported theft by deception but said it was determined the man had requested his girlfriend be designated as his payee.
