Lehighton man faces charges from dispute

A Lehighton man faces trespass and other charges stemming from a domestic dispute involving a one-month-old baby.

Richard Yturrino, 20, of Mahoning Street, was arraigned on charges of criminal trespass, endangering the welfare of children and disorderly conduct.

He was committed to the Carbon County Correctional Facility in Nesquehoning in lieu of $10,000 bail.

According to court papers, Yturrino took a one-month-old baby he has with his girlfriend, Breanna Curtis, from an East Ludlow Street home in Summit Hill, accidentally bumping the baby’s head off a wall while fleeing.

Curtis followed him and got into the Yturrino’s vehicle, not wanting him to the take the baby without her, court papers said.

Curtis’ father had summoned police, who stopped Yturrino’s vehicle and placed him in a cruiser.

Officers spoke to Curtis, who said that she was arguing with Yturrino and he was told that he was not allowed in the Ludlow Street home, due to his behavior and threats toward her and her family, court papers said.

Curtis declined medical treatment for the baby, who did not appear injured.

Police did observe a red mark on the left side of the baby’s forehead, court papers said.

Yturrino was taken to the Summit Hill police station and placed in a holding cell.
