The Slatington borough council approved these items at their meeting on Feb. 12:

• Accepted resignation of Rebecca Edwards from the Zoning Hearing Board;

• Moved Bryon Reed from alternate to regular member of the Zoning Hearing Board;

• Halloween parade - Oct. 26.

• Community Yard Sale - May 17, 18 and 19; and Sept. 13, 14 and 15;

• Thirsty Thursdays - 8 p.m. May 16, June 20, July 18, Aug. 15 and Sept. 19;

• Thank you from NOVA for a donation of $10,000, and;

• $500 donation to the Rotary Club of Slatington and $450 donation to Slatington Masonic Lodge Community Center, both for flags on Main Street.
