Northern Leigh and Panther Valley put in final preparations for the postseason at the Salisbury Duals Saturday.

No. Lehigh, Panther Vy. at Salisbury Duals

Northern Lehigh and Panther Valley each closed out their regular seasons at the Salisbury Duals.

The Bulldogs went 3-2, posting wins over Pocono Mountain West (36-24) and Panther Valley (57-10) before falling to Unionville (33-29), Wilkes Barre Area (42-31). The Bulldogs finished the day with a 66-3 win over Archbishop Wood.

Sam Frame and Cody Mazzocca each went 5-0 for Northern Lehigh, with Mazzocca registering four pins, and Frame three.

The Panthers suffered a 39-27 setback to Unionville before topping Wilkes Barre Area 39-36. Panther Valley finished strong after losses to the Bulldogs and Pocono Mountain West, picking up a 50-24 win over Howard (Delaware).

Rory Dixon went 5-0 for the Panthers, posting three pins – all in under a minute – and a tech fall.

Both teams will now get ready for the District 11 tournament, which begins Feb. 23.

BOYS BASKETBALL

8TH GRADE

Weatherly-St. Clair

Weatherly and Saint Clair played to a 45-45 tie.

Mitchell Knock led the Wreckers with 15 points. Remington Hunsinger added 14 points and hit a three-pointer to tie it with 2.1 seconds left. Kyle Reiner scordd 11 points.

Colton Oswald had 14 points for Saint Clair. Danny Markus and Xander Peletsky each scored 11.

7TH GRADE

Weatherly-St. Clair

Saint Clair topped Weatherly, 34-21.

Xander Peletsky’s 12 points paced Saint Clair. Jake Stefan and Danny Trezise each scored six points.

Eddie Feiling, Jaxon McKeegan, Jameson Delauritis all scored five points for the Wreckers.
