February 10, 1976 - Russ Gould has an impressive shooting night to help Pleasant Valley rally for a 55-53 Centennial League victory over Palmerton. Gould connects on 11-of-13 shots from the field and hits all three of his free throws to end the contest with a game-high 25 points. The Bears, coached by George Litz, trail by seven points entering the fourth quarter but an 8-0 spurt midway through the period gives PV the lead for good. Gould tallies 10 of his team’s 26 points in the final frame. Donn Nicholas adds six of his 10 points during the key quarter. For the Bombers, Gary Snyder tallies a team-high 19 points.
